Mentor Monthly – March 2023

March Mentor

March is Women’s History Month!

Women’s History Month is a dedicated month to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women to United States history. The timeline of women’s history milestones stretches back to the founding of the United States.

Consider reviewing the this timeline of Women’s Footprint in History with your mentee, and reflecting on the contributions of women in your own life.

Young Women’s Leadership Symposium

Do you mentor a high school-aged young woman? If so, she may be interested in attending the Young Women’s Leadership Symposium on March 25, 2023.

The mission of the Young Women’s Leadership Symposium is to inspire and develop our future women leaders by giving them access to and leveraging the successes of current women leaders.

Attendees have the option to attend in person or virtually from any location around the United States. There is no fee to participate!

Mentor of the Month

March’s Mentor Spotlight is shining on Kristen Laramore!

When asked what is key to being a mentor, Kristen said:

“It sounds almost too simple but being consistently present is the foundation for building and maintaining trust. As mentors, we are not expected to have all of the answers. You only need a mindset and passion for helping these students navigate challenges, celebrate their accomplishments, and being a trusted advisor. “
