The Industrial Company Helps Build our Future Workforce with a $15,000 Donation to Support Local Students through a Hillsborough Education Foundation Endowment
(April 10, 2021) TAMPA – The Industrial Company (TIC), a subsidiary of Kiewit, is building a solid foundation for its next generation of employees and leaders through a generous gift to six Hillsborough County Public Schools technical programs. For more than a decade, TIC has been working to strengthen public education in Hillsborough County and support students through an endowment fund with Hillsborough Education Foundation.
Through this partnership, six high schools with the highest needs have been selected to receive funding to provide critical materials and tools of the trade to help train our future workforce:
- Leto High School, Electrical Program: $5,000
- Middleton High School, Construction Program: $2,000
- East Bay, Hillsborough, Jefferson and Tampa Bay Technical High Schools, Welding Programs: $2,000 each

Representatives from TIC, along with Hillsborough Education Foundation and Hillsborough County Public Schools Career and Technical Education will be outside Leto High to present the check to Principal Larissa McCoy, Electrical Program Instructor Stephanie Millman and students. Donation recipients from the other schools may also attend. Interviews will be available following the presentation.
