Donate School Supplies and Change a Student’s Future
Many students in Hillsborough County Public Schools lack basic supplies—like paper, pencils, or a backpack—needed to succeed in the classroom. With nearly 69% of students, or approximately 153,000 children, considered economically disadvantaged (Florida Department of Education), your support can make a real difference.
By donating school supplies, you can provide these essential tools to students who need them most, positively impacting their lives, their classrooms, and the future of our community.
Host a School Supply Drive
Make a lasting impact by hosting a school supply drive at your business or organization. Your efforts provide vulnerable students with the essential tools they need to succeed in school while helping us restock the supplies in our Teaching Tools Resource Center to support both students and teachers across Hillsborough County.
Here are a few ways your company can host a successful drive:
- Collect supplies at your location and drop them off at HEF, or we can arrange to pick them up.
- Shop from our Amazon Wish List and supplies will be delivered directly to our office.
- Encourage staff to make a cash donation on our Donate page (link to Donate page) and note it as part of your company’s supply drive.

Join the Tampa Bay School Supply Drive
Hillsborough Education Foundation partners with Pinellas Education Foundation for the annual Tampa Bay School Supply Drive, which takes place every summer. By hosting a drive in Hillsborough or Pinellas County, or participating in one of our drop-off events, your company or organization can help support over 200,000 public school students in need across both counties. This yearly effort ensures that students return to school equipped with the essential supplies they need to succeed.
Donate Your Business Surplus
Is your office filled with unused supplies or products that are taking up valuable space? Consider donating them to the Hillsborough Education Foundation. Your donation benefits everyone—teachers and students can put these items to good use in their classrooms, your business may be eligible for a tax deduction, and you’ll be promoting your company as environmentally responsible by keeping materials out of the landfill.
