At Hillsborough Education Foundation, our mission doesn’t stop at graduation. Through active supply drives, volunteer opportunities, and Tampa scholarships, the futures of our youth can continue to grow beyond high school. With the help of our community, Hillsborough County college scholarships are within reach for our local students.
HEF Scholarships Are Changing Students’ Futures
Our scholarships at Hillsborough Education Foundation continue to make an impact in our students’ lives in more ways than one. Last year alone, we were proud to award over $1.1 million in Hillsborough County college scholarships to our local students.
Scholarships currently range from $500 to $20,000 and are designed to encourage students to pursue higher education, whether that’s at a university, community college, technical college, or trade school. With no minimum GPA requirement for some scholarships, there’s truly no reason to not apply.
“My advice to students is to fill out an application and not overthink things or wonder if you’re good enough to qualify,” said Angie Anthony, Director of Scholarships and Grants for Hillsborough Education Foundation. “By not applying, you could be leaving large sums of money on the table, which places a greater burden on you and your family to come up with funding.”
With dedication and support from our community, we’re hopeful to award even more Tampa scholarships this year and continue helping high school seniors tackle college costs, financial stress, and reduce the need for student loans.
With this financial support, students gain the stepping stone and confidence needed to follow their dreams without financial barriers. When they realize this, those dreams go from feeling impossible to suddenly within reach.
