The Impact of Volunteers
Our impact on students and teachers in Hillsborough County is amplified by the incredible support of our dedicated volunteers, who generously donate their time and talents to make a lasting difference in our community. We offer a range of rewarding volunteer opportunities to fit any schedule, and we welcome individuals as well as corporate, school, and community groups. As a district-approved community service organization, students can also earn hours toward their Bright Futures Scholarship.
By volunteering, you can help change students’ lives—whether by serving as a mentor, sorting and repacking donated school supplies, reviewing senior scholarship applications, assisting at our events, or supporting our administrative office. There are countless ways to get involved!
No matter how you choose to contribute, your time and efforts are deeply appreciated and essential to advancing our mission of strengthening public education.
Volunteer in the Teaching Tools Resource Center
Last year, volunteers dedicated 4,528 hours to the Teaching Tools Resource Center, helping ensure that teachers and students have the essential tools they need to succeed. Since its inception, our Teaching Tools Resource Center at Hillsborough Education Foundation has provided over $33 million in free school supplies and resources to support Hillsborough County Public Schools’ teachers and students in need.
This program wouldn’t be possible without the commitment of our incredible volunteers, who assist with checking teachers in and out for shopping, stocking shelves, sorting donations, packaging products, and preparing online supply orders for shipping.
Volunteering at the resource center is a meaningful way for individuals to give back and an excellent team-building activity for groups.
