RUSKIN, FL – (December, 12, 2024) Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) is excited to announce the opening of its newest SCOPE (Student Center of Postsecondary Exploration) location at Lennard High School, marking the fourth SCOPE center in Hillsborough County. This expansion will further HEF’s mission to ensure every student receives an outstanding public education that equips them for a fulfilling future.
The new SCOPE center was made possible through the generous support of Community Foundation Tampa Bay, LEAP Tampa Bay, the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations, and the Edward T. Bedford Foundation. Additionally, HEF extends its gratitude to the State of Florida’s School District Education Foundation Matching Grant program and our dedicated state legislators for their vital role in supporting this initiative.
SCOPE centers serve as hubs of opportunity for students, providing personalized guidance for college and career planning, financial aid navigation, and mentorship connections. With the addition of the SCOPE center at Lennard High School, HEF is making a significant investment in helping students overcome barriers and reach their full potential. By empowering students to explore educational and career pathways, these centers are not only transforming individual futures but also strengthening families and the broader community.
