Keep in Touch This Summer

While there are no “official” mentoring sessions that take place during the summer, we do encourage mentors and mentees to stay in touch. The TSIC App is a great way to do just that! You can video chat and message your mentee in the app.

Please note: the Take Stock App will be brought down for summer maintenance from July 1st to July 31st, and will be unavailable until it is brought back up on August 1st. You are welcome to stay connected via email until the app is available again.

We are also facilitating a few in-person community service opportunities in July that both mentors and mentees can participate in. Read more in June’s Mentor Monthly.

Mentor of the Month

May’s Mentor Spotlight is shining on Justin Gibides!

When asked what motivated him to become a mentor, Justin said:

“My company, McKinstry, is partnering with Hillsborough County Public Schools to advance energy efficiency, air conditioning system performance, and sustainability. When we heard about the mentoring program through HEF, a number of our employees signed up as mentors. I really enjoy working with youth, and jumped at the opportunity to make an impact in a mentee’s life.”
