The impact we have on students and teachers in Hillsborough County is strengthened by our dedicated volunteers who donate their time and talents to make a difference in our community.
We offer a variety of rewarding volunteer opportunities to fit your schedule and welcome corporate, school and community groups and individuals. As a district-approved community service organization, students can earn hours toward their Bright Futures Scholarship.
Volunteers can help change students’ lives by serving as a mentor, helping us sort and repack donated school supplies, reviewing senior scholarship applications, lending a hand at one of our events, assisting with administrative office activities and so much more.
No matter how you choose to volunteer—either as an individual or a group—your time is greatly appreciated and essential to helping us carry out our mission of strengthening public education.
TEACHING TOOLS RESOURCE CENTER
Volunteers devoted 5,245 hours last year in our resource center to ensure teachers and students have the tools they need to succeed.
Since its creation, our Teaching Tools Resource Center at Hillsborough Education Foundation has provided more than $33 million in free school supplies and resources to Hillsborough County Public Schools teachers and students in need.
In order to make this program possible, we rely on dedicated volunteers to help teachers check in/out for shopping, stock shelves, sort donations, package products and pack online supply orders for shipping.
This is a great opportunity for individuals and a wonderful team-building activity for a group.
