Volunteering Events

This summer, the Take Stock team facilitated three awesome volunteer events. We served at Sweetwater Farms, Life’s Thrift Store and Feeding Tampa Bay. It was a great opportunity to serve the community, connect with mentees and have fun.

If you didn’t get a chance to participate in these in-person events over the summer, we encourage you to join some of the mentor/mentee events we will offer throughout the school year!

Mentor of the Month

August’s Mentor Spotlight is shining on Shelby Hearn Belluso!

When asked what motivated her to become a mentor, Shelby said:

“I became involved with mentoring through my want to find a positive and fulfilling way to connect my human services background with public education. I was immediately drawn to mentoring because it allows me to use a strengths-based approach with helping youth feel empowered in their journey to a post-secondary education!”
