November is National Scholarship Month!
National Scholarship Month is a great time to raise awareness of scholarship opportunities for students of all ages.
November is also an excellent time for seniors to begin the scholarship application process, if they have not done so already. Many scholarship providers are posting new scholarship information and competitions for the next academic year.
HEF’s Senior Scholarships
HEF is now accepting applicants for the Senior Scholarship program! Twelfth grade students with aspirations of continuing their education after high school at a university, community or technical college can apply for scholarships ranging from $500 to $15,000.
Mentor of the Month
November’s Mentor Spotlight is shining on Brianna Pingree!
When asked what motivated her to become a mentor, Brianna said:
“I worked with kids during high school and college as a counselor at the Boys & Girls Club, so being able to get back into that has been awesome. It has also been great because I have a new perspective and previous experiences to share with my mentee about the college application process.”
